Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care is expected to cost.

A Good Faith Estimate applies if you are uninsured, not using insurance, or choosing to self-pay. It outlines the expected charges for therapy services so you know what to anticipate.

You can request one at any time: before scheduling, during intake, or at any point during treatment. I will provide it in writing and am glad to answer any questions about the cost of care. To request one, contact me. For the insurance plans I accept, see Insurance & Payment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute it. Please keep a copy of your estimate, and note that a dispute must be started within 120 calendar days of the date on the bill.

For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises (opens in a new tab) or call 1-800-985-3059.

I want you to feel fully informed about the financial side of your care. A Good Faith Estimate does not obligate you to receive care from my practice.
